What's in it For C-Systems ?
We are philanthropists first, foremost, and finally.
But we need money to make money.
In order to be able to make projects like SSF or Seattle Commonwealth, we need to generate significant income from our own operations...we cannot perpetually rely on funding partners or donations from the public.
We could take the typical route of Venture Capital but that would dillute ownership, which is unacceptable....or we could take a years-long approach of starting small and gradually build with conventional loans from banks and the like, but this is a haphazard and needlessly slow process with uncertain outcomes. Most of our ideas are timely, so they need to be capitalized on in the near future.
The alternative we have come up with is to use our civic projects to raise captial for ourselves, in parallel to raising funds for our civic projects and not-for-profits....by taking a percentage off the top...a fee for designing and hosting a system of wealth creation in the shared-profit model.
20 percent of the partnership funds and donations from this festival go to C-Systems...money and material, which we use to develop pioneering models of good works, as expressed in our ideals of
shared-profits, immaterialism, social capitalism, eupraxophy, and the virtuous path....learn more here
......As made manifest in our Seattle Commonwealth, and The Commonwealth for Human Ideals, our local and global commonwealths.
We will grow and develop together, just as the spirit of the shared-profit ideal emphasizes....our good works and our bottom line, not one at the expense of the other.
In addition to the moneys that fund the developement of our business ventures, we receive much needed exposure to a large pool of talented people who may become our future employees and partners.
We also cultivate future customers, who get to see what kind of stuff we are made of.....unfortunately, much of what passes for philanthropy by companies is little more than self-promotion, which is why most "donations", to "charity" are less than 1 percent of what such companies make in profit per year.....everything we do in this festival is a reflection on our massive whole-hearted commitment to be a force for good in this world, and that is bound to stir people's interest in of itself, in our products and services.
Also, in successfully developing this festival we demonstrate to investors that we are capable of raising the interests and engaging the efforts of a great many people around our ideas...so should we need cash infusions in the future, it will be alot easier to do so, then for someone just starting out.
Ultimately, if our ideas are good enough that you embrace them, and that you benefit from them, shouldn't we, as the creators of these ideas benefit as well.....isn't that only just ?
That is how we see it.
