Our Festival is a way of organizing our civic life (year-round), and city wide, not just in seattle center, or downtown..once in a while for a couple of hours.
It promotes the ideal of a local commonwealth, our Seattle Commonwealth.
It helps people solve problems, by allowing people to get in touch with those who think and feel similairly, and provide the means to act on these common interests.
It offers limitless activities and groups to belong to...since what we offer is not fixed but fluid..open to other peoples ideas about what a festival should be.
With opportunities for people to enrich our cities social life and material well being, without having to choose one or the other.
We are a community creation tool.
The festival encourages entrepreneurial spirit, helping ambitious people develop their ideas and funding those most promising, as they arise....in turn funding civic and not for profit projects which further enrich our city-scape....these will be the worlds first shared-profits.
In the creation of new businesses we will forge a specific collection that will end the sales taxes and property taxes you pay....these shared-profit businesses will fill the budgets of city and state to compensate, resulting in more business...resulting in more and higher quality jobs.
You will have opportunities to join new movements that transform the world, in the here and now, not in the future in a galaxy far far away.
After work or school you will get to choose from hundreds of changing activities every day.
And it won't matter what the weather is like, our cities mood and mindset will be one of celebration and happiness all year long.
No more grey-cloud depresssion.
You no longer need to participate in "festivities" and "fairs" that reek of dull consumerism, that live on substituting real civic celebrations with pay-per-use amusements.
